Conscious Giving

Supporting TOVP for a Lasting Social Impact

At Haribol, we believe that true business success lies in giving back to the community and contributing to meaningful social causes. As part of this commitment, all of our proceeds are dedicated to the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) in Sridham Mayapur. Through our support of TOVP, we are not only aiding in the construction of a monumental spiritual center but also contributing to a wide range of social initiatives that are creating a lasting positive impact on society.

Skill development

Education and Skill Development

The TOVP project is deeply intertwined with initiatives that support education and skill development, especially for underprivileged communities. The Bhaktivedanta National School and Bhaktivedanta Academy, both affiliated with ISKCON’s Mayapur Development Foundation, offer subsidized education and traditional Vedic knowledge to local children and adults. These institutions provide crucial educational opportunities, equipping students with both spiritual wisdom and practical skills that enable them to thrive in today’s world. Additionally, the Skill Development Centre helps local artisans preserve and promote traditional craftsmanship, fostering economic independence and self-sufficiency.

Medical and healthcare

Medical Relief and Healthcare

One of the key objectives of the Mayapur Foundation, supported by TOVP, is to provide affordable, high-quality medical care to the local population. The Sri Mayapur Community Hospital offers state-of-the-art healthcare services, including 24-hour emergency care and diagnostics, which are critical for the wellbeing of rural communities. Plans are underway to expand the hospital into a 100-bed multi-specialty charitable hospital, bringing world-class medical infrastructure to one of India’s most spiritually and culturally significant regions.

Cow Protection and Organic Farming

Haribol’s commitment to cruelty-free and sustainable practices is echoed in the broader mission of ISKCON and the Mayapur Foundation. At the heart of this is the protection and care of cows, a core aspect of Vedic tradition. ISKCON’s goshala in Mayapur is home to over 300 cows, bulls, and calves, where they receive lifetime care in a natural and peaceful atmosphere. The cows play a vital role in organic farming and sustainable agriculture, providing milk for deities and the community while promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Prasadam distribution

Feeding the Hungry: Prasadam Distribution

At the core of ISKCON's mission in Mayapur is the distribution of free prasadam (sanctified food) to all, without any discrimination. This service not only alleviates hunger but also offers spiritual nourishment to millions of pilgrims and locals. During critical times, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, prasadam distribution became a lifeline for many, transcending religious and cultural boundaries. By supporting TOVP, Haribol plays a part in continuing this vital tradition of service, ensuring that no one within a 10-mile radius of Mayapur goes hungry.

A Vision for Global Unity

The Temple of the Vedic Planetarium is not just a physical structure but a beacon of unity, embodying the principles of global harmony and spiritual knowledge. Inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s vision, TOVP aims to serve as a center for spiritual learning, cultural preservation, and interfaith dialogue, bringing together people from all walks of life. The spiritual city being developed in Mayapur stands as a testament to the timeless values of compassion, sustainability, and community service, values that Haribol upholds in all its endeavors.
